This painting, as it is pictured above, was done live in one night in collaboration with my husband Michael.  We were featured artists above the Tropical stage at  Greensector’s New Year’s Eve party out at Hummingbird’s Nest Ranch.  It’s always a treat to paint with Michael and witness how our two visions intermingle to create something neither of us completely anticipated but somehow works marvelously.  As the sun began to rise over the horizon on the first new day of 2012, I added the horizon to the bottom of the piece with the first light of day, and the purpose of the two figures became clear to us – they are the bringers of the new day.
