Off-shoulder Blouse

One of the absolutely fantastic things about knowing how to sew is that if I’m in a store looking for something particular that I can’t find, I can just go home and make it.  Another: I didn’t get clothes this year for the holiday gifting occasions, so I’ll make some instead.  Having a closet filled with various patterns and textures of fabric greatly helps to facilitate this process… as does having a huge sewing table ready to go with all of my tools in easy reach.

I’ve been wanting some new clothes, but I’m broke as usual. And that would be reason #3 that being my own seamstress kicks ass – my style doesn’t have to suffer on a humanities grad student income.  I liked the new pattern so much, I made two in different colors, and a third is on the table to-be-assembled.
